Insurance
All PPO health insurance plans accepted. No prior prescription from an MD is needed. At your first visit we will take your insurance information and verify your acupuncture benefits. You will be notified of your benefits within 24 hours or at your follow-up visit. The patient is then responsible for payment of the first treatment as benefits must be verified. Since most PPO health plans have a deductible and a copay, that first payment is then applied to that.

Will it hurt?

Is it safe?
Acupuncture is extremely safe. One of the best aspects of acupuncture, and Chinese medicine in general, is its remarkably low incidence of adverse effects. Each needle is sterile and used only once.
Acupuncture modalities include:
Orthopedic Acupuncture Trigger-Point Acupuncture Traditional Chinese Acupuncture
Electro-Acupuncture refers to the use of mild electric stimulation at acupuncture points in order to reduce pain and increase function.
Infra-Red Therapy employs a machine that penetrates tissue with a strong light to reduce pain and inflammation.
Qi Gong- We will teach you the proper form of Qi Gong so that you can better regulate the balance and immune system within your body.
Chinese Herbal Medicine constitutes the longest, most documented form of medicine in history. Herbal prescriptions are sophisticated and individualized, and take into consideration the patient's constitution, medical condition, and potential risks and benefits that may arise from cowith dietary supplements and other medications. We also specialize in developing our own personal ointments to treat skin and surgical diseases.
Manual Therapy includes a wide range of bodywork, stretching, resistance, exercise, and massage techniques to reduce pain and stress, and promote healing.
Moxibustion employs the herb mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), burned near specific points of the body, for its warming and blood-invigorating properties, usually in conjunction with acupuncture.
Cupping is a method that uses suction to increase circulation and stretch tissue.
Lifestyle recommendations are a key component of many treatment plans. Dietary, exercise, and sleep habits are the cornerstone of health. They can amplify the benefits of any intervention, and help us to take an active role in our physical and emotional well-being.
